EMDR Intensives
Nervous-System-Focused EMDR Intensives

A Different Kind of Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you process difficult experiences so they feel less overwhelming and no longer carry the same power in your present.
EMDR intensives offer dedicated space for deeper, focused trauma work beyond a traditional 50–60-minute session. By integrating EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous-system-informed care, we address both the experiences you remember and how they continue to live in your body.
Each intensive is personalized to your story, goals, and readiness—honoring your pace while creating space for meaningful change.

Why intensive EMDR therapy?
My EMDR Intensives offer a specialized approach to trauma healing that is unique to Jackson, Wyoming. I am currently the only clinician in Jackson offering EMDR intensives that intentionally integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous-system-informed care.
This unique combination allows us to work not only with the memories and beliefs connected to trauma, but also with how those experiences continue to show up in your body, emotions, relationships, and nervous system. Rather than fitting trauma work into a traditional weekly session, intensives create dedicated space to slow down, go deeper, and work through what feels stuck with greater focus and intention. Together, we’ll work toward feeling calmer, less reactive, more grounded, and more connected to yourself and your relationships.
At Sabino Counseling & Wellness, this work is about more than understanding your past. It’s about helping you feel safer in your body and more present in your life. You deserve more than simply learning to live with it. You deserve the opportunity to feel different.
If you’re wondering whether an EMDR intensive may be right for you, let’s start with a conversation. A complimentary 15-minute consultation is a gentle first step to explore your goals, ask questions, and see if this approach feels like the right fit.

Healing doesn't have to take years.

What Does the Research Say?
Research on intensive trauma treatment is still growing, but findings are promising. A 2024 randomized study of crime survivors found that intensive EMDR led to meaningful improvements in PTSD symptoms, functioning,
presenting concerns, and quality of life, with very low dropout
(Greenwald & Camden, 2024).
Intensive therapy isn’t about rushing
healing. It’s about creating dedicated
space for preparation, processing,
nervous-system support, and
integration— allowing the work to
unfold with intention.
